Last updated: May 2026
1. Identity of the Seller
Cattery name:
AlmuñéCats
Owner name:
Maria Elisabeth Herminegilda de Wit
2. Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all reservations, agreements and sales of kittens from AlmuñéCats.
By signing the sales agreement, the buyer confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
Any deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if confirmed in writing by AlmuñéCats.
3. Booking
A kitten is only reserved after:
– written confirmation,
– receipt of the agreed deposit,
– and signing of the sales agreement.
The signed sales agreement and the agreed deposit must be received by AlmuñéCats within 3 calendar days of the sales agreement being sent by AlmuñéCats, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The deposit is €300, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The deposit will be deducted from the total purchase price.
In the event of cancellation by the buyer, the deposit will not be refunded.
If the sale cannot proceed due to circumstances on the part of AlmuñéCats, such as illness, death or the kitten being deemed unsuitable, the amount paid will be refunded or, by mutual agreement, an alternative may be offered.
4. Retention of title
The kitten remains the sole property of AlmuñéCats until the full purchase price has been paid.
The outstanding balance must be paid in full before or at the latest upon handover of the kitten.
A payment confirmation, screenshot or bank transfer instruction does not constitute proof that payment has been received. Payment shall be deemed completed only when the funds have actually been received by AlmuñéCats.
In the event of non-payment, AlmuñéCats reserves the right to terminate the agreement.
5. Delivery and transfer
A kitten will only be handed over if:
– it is at least 12 weeks old,
– it has been declared clinically healthy,
– it has been vaccinated in accordance with its age,
– it has been microchipped,
– it has a European pet passport.
An official pedigree will be requested from the recognised breed association for each kitten.
If the pedigree is not yet available at the time of transfer, it will be sent on as soon as it has been officially issued.
AlmuñéCats aims to schedule the handover so that the kitten has sufficient time to recover after its final vaccination. If the kitten’s welfare requires it, or if the veterinarian advises postponing the handover, the transfer may be delayed by a few days in consultation with the buyer.
Following transfer, the buyer is responsible for registering the microchip or transferring its registration into their name, in accordance with the applicable national or regional regulations.
Transport by third parties is entirely at the buyer’s risk.
From the moment of transfer, the full risk passes to the buyer.
6. Health and guarantees
The kittens are bred with the utmost care and undergo a clinical examination prior to handover.
AlmuñéCats cannot provide an absolute guarantee against:
– conditions that were not detectable or identifiable at the time of handover;
– genetic abnormalities that develop later in life;
– viral mutations;
– FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis);
– stress- or environment-related conditions;
– illnesses arising after handover;
If, after handover, there is a reasonable suspicion of a congenital defect that was already present before the handover, the buyer must notify AlmuñéCats in writing as soon as reasonably possible and provide a written report from a qualified veterinarian.
AlmuñéCats values open communication and will be happy to work with the buyer to find an appropriate solution should any health concerns arise.
Any liability is limited to a maximum of the purchase price.
7. Obligations of the buyer
The buyer undertakes to provide:
– proper care,
– suitable accommodation,
– high-quality food,
– timely veterinary care,
– compliance with vaccination and health advice.
The kittens are sold as companion animals unless otherwise agreed in writing. Breeding is only permitted with the prior written permission of AlmuñéCats.
The buyer remains responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding the keeping, registration or breeding of animals.
Resale or transfer to third parties without the prior consent of AlmuñéCats is not permitted.
8. Rehoming
If the buyer is no longer able to keep the animal, please notify AlmuñéCats.
AlmuñéCats is happy to assist in finding a suitable new home.
9. Liability
Once the animal has been handed over, the buyer is fully responsible for it.
AlmuñéCats accepts no liability for:
– damage caused by the animal,
– veterinary costs incurred after handover,
– illnesses arising after handover,
– consequences of improper care,
– incidents beyond the control of AlmuñéCats.
Liability is only possible in the event of demonstrable gross negligence prior to transfer and is limited to the purchase price.
10. Force majeure
In the event of force majeure, including illness, the death of the animal, natural disasters, transport problems, government measures or other unforeseen circumstances, AlmuñéCats reserves the right to cancel or suspend the agreement.
Any amounts paid will be refunded in such cases.
11. Applicable law
All contracts and sales are governed by Spanish law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
